Kindergarten News

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful week with your families celebrating Thanksgiving and reflecting on all we have to be grateful for! This has been a very exciting week in Kindergarten! We entered the first week of Advent. This was celebrated by the youngest student in the school lighting the first candle of the advent wreath, which represents Hope. We have focused many of our discussions in class on the topic of hope and realized how much we love to have hope in our lives. We have officially transitioned into celebrating the Christmas season! We have created some pretty spectacular Grinch drawings, explored science with a salt project to create some beautiful snowflakes. We are also in the middle of Unit 4 in our Wonders curriculum. The essential focus question this week is "What do people use to do their jobs?". The vocabulary words to help further support a deeper understanding are: equipment, uniform, utensils, expect, and remained. Our writing focus is on adjectives. We have been creating some dynamic sentences to describe the art projects we have been working on as well. The high frequency words for the week is you, while the letter of the week is O.

Tomorrow we will have Mass at 8am. Please have your child dressed in their Mass Uniform. We look forwarding to celebrating our Peacemakers and the hard work of our honor roll students.
