Kindergarten News 10/7-10/11

This week we have been focusing on exploring how our senses help us learn! We have gone on sensory walks around campus to discover what is around us by listening, observing with our eyes what we see, smelling the lavender in the garden, and touching plants. We capped it off with another spontaneous apple tasting with Mrs. Oldham and some 7th grade friends. We are also learning about bats and comparing our senses to theirs. We are beginning out lessons on pumpkins next week. Please feel free to send in your pumpkins at anytime before October 23rd. We are asking for one very unique and funky pumpkin, along with a classic small pumpkin to decorate. Halloween wristbands are for sake before and after school for $25!!!! The wristband purchase includes Jamba Juice, Popcorn, and Cotton candy, and all access to age appropriate activities. We are going to be looking for several volunteers to run our Cookie Walk booth for the carnival. I will send a volunteer sign up sheet next week. The Halloween carnival will be October 25th at 10am. This is a half day that will begin with our school wide Halloween parade! More details to follow!
